THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT

The Building Division issues permits for all new construction within Kelso. This involves the detailed examination of building plans, calculations, and specifications for compliance with building, plumbing and mechanical codes, as well as field inspections of all aspects of construction and its various component parts and systems. Electrical permits are handled for the City of Kelso through the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
We try to conduct inspections has quickly as possible after you call. We can normally set an appointment for the next day. The more notice you provide the more likely it is that there will be an early time slot available.
